Illinois Salmonella: Attorney Fred Pritzker Calls on Sprouts Farm and Jimmy John's to Pay Medical Expenses
Alfalfa sprouts from Tiny Greens Organic Farm of Urbana, Illinois have been linked to to an outbreak of Salmonella that has sickened at least 89 people, according to the FDA. Approximately half of the illnesses occurred in Illinois, where nearly all of the ill individuals ate sandwiches containing sprouts at various Jimmy John’s outlets.
"Both Tiny Greens Organic Farm and Jimmy John's should pay victims' medical expenses while these cases are litigated," stated Attorney Fred Pritzker. "Companies need to take responsibility for making people sick"
